Gareth & Michelle - 8th December 2007

Gareth and Michelle's wedding was held at the beautiful St Michael the Archangel in Leederville. It is one of the prettiest and most popular churches in Perth. Diane and Amber from Deray Simcoe were the photographers on the day and their relaxed but fun nature made for a very pleasurable day. All the stunning photos that are presented in this entry are from Deray Simcoe.

The photo locations were the International Beer Shop in Leederville which was very handy as the girls accidentally had forgotten to pack the boys beer! Next we headed to the streets of Subiaco before heading over to Matilda Bay Restaurant in Crawley.

Gareth and Michelle you were such a fun and friendly couple we really are looking forward to editing your wedding. Merry Christmas and we'll be in touch in the new year.

Many thanks to Diane who took this photo of Craig and myself working. It's so funny to see what we actually look like while videoing!

Stephen and Giselle 1st December 2007

Giselle and Stephen's wedding ceremony was held at the beautiful Trinity Church on St George's Tce in the city and the reception was held at Willow Pond in Canning Vale. The rain stopped just for Giselle as she pulled up outside the church with her bridesmaids at the beginning of the ceremony.

After the beautiful service the photographer Brian Smyth took the bridal party to UWA for some photographs. Everyone was able to relax and let their hair down as the hard part of the day was over.

The gardens at Willow Pond are just amazing and take my breath away every time I go there. I'm sure they would have made for some great photographs as it looked great on video. Congratulations guys on a beautiful wedding day and all the best Giselle for the rest of your pregnancy. We look forward to hearing all about your new baby in 3 months time.

Thank you Katey and Liam!

We were incredibly thrilled and delighted when we received this beautiful thank you card in the post recently.

Dear Craig and Kristen.

Wow! How quickly time goes by! It's so very hard to believe that a whole year has gone by since our most wonderful wedding day last November.

Given the time that has gone by, we felt it a good time to write (finally!) and say thank you so so so much for your beautiful capturing of our wedding celebrations. Everyone that shares our video with us is just amazed and so complimentary on your “videoing” abilities! We must say we agree!

The “whole” version, the 45 minute version and even the highlight clip are just AMAZING! You both have such wonderful talents in being able to do what you do! WE waited (sometimes we even waited patiently!) for the video and the excitement just kept building up and boy we weren't disappointed! Thank you so very much for giving us such beautiful memories of our special day!

Love,

Liam and Katey

Ben and Amy 17th November 2007

Ben and Amy's wedding was on the weekend and you could not have asked for a more perfect day weather wise. The ceremony was held at the Sacred Heart Church in Mundaring. This was a little bit of a drive from Amy's parents house in Secret Harbour but well worth it. It was a gorgeous little church and the service was just lovely.

After the ceremony we headed off to the photo location which was at Lake Leschenaultia, which was very picturesck. The tall trees and the sparkling blue water made for some great footage. We were very impressed that Amy was able to get her feet a little sandy for some of the photos by walking up to the water's edge (according to her sister Paula, this is a rare occurrence).

Next the wonderful reception was held at El Caballo Resort in Wooroloo. What an amazing place this was and such a perfect location for Amy who is a big lover of horses. The resort even allowed Ben and Amy to pose with one of the horses for awhile which was fantastic.

Ben and Amy you are such a lovely couple and we really enjoyed being part of your wedding day. You guys together with your bridal party were such a laugh and I'm sure there is going to be a huge blooper reel on your wedding video, thanks to the extremely funny bridesmaids! Congratulations and we'll see you at the Bon Jovi concert in January!

Marco and Aleisha 10th November 2007

I arrived at Aleisha's house on the morning of their wedding to find one of the most beautiful wedding dresses I have ever seen. The girls were all organised and ready early which was such a pleasant experience as nothing was rushed and everybody was relaxed and happy. Total Brides provided the girl's beautiful hair styles for the day.

The ceremony which was held at Christ the King Church in Beaconsfield, was fantastic as it was on top of a hill which allowed a lovely breeze to come through on the warm day.

After the ceremony the amazing photographer, Roger Clark from Envy Photography took the bridal party to Fremantle for some photographs. Here are Roger and myself in action!

The amazing car from Central Park Limousines attracted much attention from onlookers and the fantastic driver Mal had to be one of the nicest people I have ever met! So accommodating and friendly it was a pleasure. There was so much time so after that we headed to the Old Swan Brewery so everyone could have a couple of drinks and have some photos on the jetty.

Next the wonderful reception was held at the Perth Convention Centre which had a spectacular view of both the city and the Swan River. The DJ was Brett from Roadshow DJ's and he kept the dance floor packed all night and was fantastic keeping us informed of everything that was going on.

Aleisha and Marco thank you for allowing us to be part of your special day, congratulations.

Recent Feedback from Nick and Annamaria

Today we received feedback from Nick and Annamaria regarding their wedding video. We were so thrilled by their moving words it really made our day. Thanks so much guys we really appreciate it!

"Our wedding video was absolutely amazing. Like a movie about us! So professional. Most people expect a wedding video to be basic and just a way to capture the day exactly as it happened. Pretty much like a home movie with music. But you guys just blow wedding videos out of the water. Everyone who has seen our video is amazed. Totally worth the wait!"

Nicholas and Annamaria.

Thanks very much to Des Birt from Des Birt Photography who took this gorgeous photograph.

Simon and Novia 28th October 2007

Play Simon and Novia's wedding trailer here

Simon and Novia's wedding was on Sunday the 28th October 2007. The ceremony was held at St Cecilia's Church in Floreat and the reception was held at the beautiful Oceanus in City Beach. Much to Novia's surprise her morning was beautiful, calm and relaxing. She was ready with time to spare which is a rare occurrence on a wedding day. This gave us a great opportunity to talk as we waited for the photographers Sam and Rebecca to arrive from Kin Photography. Novia looked stunning in her beautiful gown and long veil and she was very photogenic.

It was our first time at St Cecilia's church and it was beautiful and had fantastic light. The celebrant was Father Paul Fogarty and he was an absolute pleasure, he was so friendly and caring and he even told Simon to put on our radio microphone for us! Simon was a little nervous as he awaited his stunning bride to arrive with his best man Simon by his side.

The ceremony was so beautiful and reduced most people in the church to tears *gulp* thanks to Novia's moving vows. Rebecca and Sam then took the bridal party to Cliff Street in Fremantle for some shots against the great architecture. We didn't stay there long as it was blowing a gale, so we quickly headed to Oceanus for the reception. The reception was a small and intimate affair which was very beautiful and the food was just devine! Craig and I left Oceanus waddling down the street to our cars. It was a feast and a half!

At the top of this post is a link to Simon and Novia's wedding trailer. For those who are new to the concept it is basically a preview clip which the couple receive shortly after their wedding day, prior to receiving their full DVD edit. For any of our current clients, if you are interested in purchasing the wedding trailer for your own wedding, please contact us before your wedding date.

Simon and Novia you were such a beautiful couple to work with and we can really see the love you share for one another. We hope you enjoy your wedding trailer and let us know how your second wedding in Indonesia goes. Congratulations to you both.

Philip and Lutasha 20th October 2007

Lutasha and Philip's wedding was on the weekend. The ceremony was held at the Cottesloe Civic Centre on the main lawn and the reception was held at the Rendezvous Hotel. When I arrived at Lutasha's hotel room that morning she was bright and happy and already you couldn't wipe the smile off her face. It was probably because of her stunning engagement, wedding and eternity ring set! Wow!

Annaliese Frank
and her assistant Amy arrived and the photo taking process began. When Annaliese wanted a photograph with Lutasha and her mother together the tears began to flow and not just for Lutasha either! *sob*

When I arrived at the Civic Centre Philip looked very suave in his suit and hat with his 5 groomsmen by his side. When I told him Lutasha would be arriving any minute he got a little emotional. Well there I went again into a blubbering mess!

The rain held off all day and some beautiful shots were taken at the Civic Centre and at City Beach. It was quite windy, however Annaliese kept everyone warm with her many running shots! Can't wait to see the ones of Lutasha with her wedding dress flowing behind her, it looked awesome on video.

Lutasha and Philip you were such a fantastic couple to work with and we absolutely can't wait to edit the dancing footage from the night. Philip you are going to have to teach Craig and myself some of those awesome moves! Congratulations guys.

Time off in Melbourne

While we were in Melbourne for the wedding it was fantastic to catch up with family which we hadn't seen in years. My cousin Jim who works for Channel 10 took us on a personal tour and showed us the set of 9am with David and Kim (formally the set of GMA). Everyone was very friendly on channel ten's level 6. We dropped in on a live news update and also had a good chat to some of the staff in areas we weren't familiar with which was really interesting.

We also had time to check out the real “Ramsey Street” which is actually called Pin Oak Court (yes I am a closet fan of “Neighbours”, don't hold it against me!)

After a visit to the Crown Casino (and no I don't have any more gambling luck in Victoria) we had a beautiful warm night so we decided to take some fun shots with my cousins in Port Melbourne and St Kilda. It was a great holiday we had a blast!

(These last three shots were all 30 second exposures, so you have to stand very still)

Peter and Catherine's Melbourne Wedding - 13th October 2007

Wedding Videos Melbourne Victoria

Nothing could wipe the smile of Peter's face this day. He was counting down the seconds until he was married, not even the cold Melbourne weather could dampen his spirits.

The temperature got down to 16 degrees which was a shock to Craig's and my system after the beautiful Perth weather we have been experiencing lately. Catherine and Peter's ceremony was held at the Greek Orthodox Parish of St Raphael Nicholas & Irene Church in Bentleigh and the reception was held at Contessa Reception Centre in Mt Waverley Victoria.

What a beautiful couple they make, congratulations guys!

Anna Rose Photography

Recently Craig and I decided to have professional shots taken of us to use on our website. Who could we ask but the beautiful Jen from Annarose Photography. She made us feel so comfortable and relaxed, so relaxed in fact that she struggled to get shots of us not laughing!

I love this one she took of Craig, he looks like a model!

Thank you Jen you truly are a magician to make me look half decent in a photo. We are so thrilled with these photos we never expected to have photos that really looked so much like artwork. You really are a master at your craft.

If you would like to check out the rest of our photographs from the shoot you can visit Anna Rose Photography blog here.

Kristen's Birthday

My 25th birthday was the 6th of this month and what a unbelievable surprise I got when a package was delivered to the front door. Who was it from??? The most gorgeous Jen from Anna Rose Photography and Narelle Watson from Narelle Watson Photography!

How amazing are these guys??? I was so stunned and bowled over by their generosity I couldn't believe it! Chocolates, candles and champagne oh how they know me so well! Thank you so much you beautiful and talented ladies you really made my day.

Sian and Ryan - Pre Wedding Love Story

Last Tuesday we shot Sian and Ryan's pre-wedding “love story.” For those who are new to the concept we interview the bride and groom before the big day asking various questions about their relationship. We edit this together with shots of them at various locations in Perth, relevant to their likes and hobbies. Sian and Ryan are really into sports so we shot parts of their love story at an indoor basketball court and indoor beach volleyball court. The finished product is then screened at the reception to give a little insight into the couple and their relationship together.

Sian and Ryan were a hoot and had Craig and I in stitches for most of the interview. Sian and Ryan's video is going to be so funny and I'm sure their guests are going to get a real kick out of it. Craig and I are really looking forward to shooting your wedding day in March next year and we have a feeling your blooper reel is going to be very large.

Louellyn and Graeme - 30th September 2007

Play Graeme and Louellyn's wedding trailer here

Louellyn and Graeme's wedding was on the weekend and even though the weather started out a bit sketchy it ended up being absolutely perfect for both photos and video. The ceremony was held at Caversham House in the hidden gardens and the reception was held at the Novotel Langley. This was our first wedding with Celine from Events to Envy as the wedding coordinator. She was calm and in control and helped nervous Graeme to calm down before the ceremony. Having Celine there meant Louellyn and Gaeme could enjoy their day without being interrupted by any problems or questions that arose. Graham Lambert was the celebrant and we have never experienced a more courteous and professional celebrant, he catered to our needs greatly and even paused and waited for the plane to finish going overhead before continuing with the ceremony. Louellyn's beautiful dress was made by Denise Wright Bridal and Graeme looked suave arriving at Caversham in a Hummer courtesy of Hummer for Hire, that Louellyn hired as a surprise for him.

Louellyn and Graeme were such a fun couple, they spent most of the day laughing and joking and having fun with the bridal party. Jason from JSC Photography was the photographer and set up some lovely shots at Caversham House, South Perth foreshore and UWA. DJ Matt R was the DJ for the night and really got the guests dancing.

At the top of this post is a link to Louellyn and Graeme's wedding trailer. For those who are new to the concept it is basically a preview clip which the couple receive shortly after their wedding day, prior to receiving their full DVD edit. For any of our current clients, if you are interested in purchasing the wedding trailer for your own wedding, please contact us before your wedding date.

Graeme and Louellyn you were such a fun energetic couple to work with and we really hope you enjoy watching your wedding trailer. We are really looking forward to editing the rest of your wedding video. Have a lovely honeymoon!

Kristen and Timothy - 21st September 2007

Our second wedding of the year was Kristen and Timothy and you could not believe that it was a wedding in September, beautiful blue skies as far as the eye could see. The ceremony was held at Christ Church in Claremont and the reception was held at the Melville Water Polo Club.

Kristen had a beautiful long veil that really inspired some creative shots. Kristen and Tim were so natural in front of the camera and Kristen could be in the middle of a laugh and Narelle would tell her to pose in a certain way and she would put on her “model pose” and she would be so photogenic! I wish I was this good in front of a camera.

Narelle Watson was the photographer and her fun and energetic presence kept everyone laughing and joking the whole day, which I'm sure would have made some beautiful photos. Kristen and Tim's photo locations were the Blue Boatshed in Crawley and Cliff Street in Fremantle.

Kristen and Tim decorated the reception themselves and what beautiful ambiance they created. Looking forward to editing your wedding guys!

Winners!

The AVPA (Australian Video Producers Association) held their annual 2007 video awards on Wednesday 5th September in Melbourne. We are thrilled to announce that we have been notified that we have dominated the wedding videography category coming first place in the following areas;

Wedding Short Form (Creative presentation, non traditional format, new vogue, arty etc. Under 50min Duration)

Wedding Traditional (Single or Multi camera coverage, covering all aspects of the occasion)

For those who are unfamiliar with these awards, this is the highest accolade that can be received for wedding videography in Australia. This is something that our business has been striving for since we started operation in 2001. However being self confessed perfectionist and so critical of our own work, we had not yet entered in past years. We are now so glad we made the last minute decision to enter these 2007 awards.

A big thank you and congratulations go out to the following couples whose wedding videos we submitted that won us the awards.

Jeremy and Rachel 7th October 2006 – Wedding Traditional category

Noel and Rainda – 10th June 2006 - Wedding Short Form category

Thank you very much to everyone including our fellow video producers for your constant support and inspiration, we cannot describe how absolutely elated we are feeling for winning these prestigious awards. With renewed inspiration with our many new ideas and techniques we cannot wait for the 07/08 wedding season.
