John and Emma 12th April 2008

John and Emma's wedding was held at St Patrick's Basilica in Fremantle and the reception was held at Matilda Bay Restaurant in Crawley

I have to say Emma wore one of the most beautiful and intricate wedding dresses I have ever seen. The detail and embroidery on the bodice was just amazing and to see it sparkle in the sun was breathtaking. It was so lovely to see a beautiful bride in pink. The dress was made by Allure Couture.

Jen from Anna Rose Photography was the awesome photographer for the day and set up some great shots at UWA, King's Park and the foreshore in Crawley. She kept the group energetic and fun and was just a breeze to work with. She takes absolutely breathtaking photos as you can see on our blog here. All of these photos are courtesy of Anna Rose Photography.

John and Emma were such a fun and photogenic couple the day was such a breeze. I cannot wait to see the footage of Emma and her gorgeous veil at UWA, you know which shot I'm talking about Emma ;)

Thank you for allowing us to be part of your special day and we look forward to being in touch with you soon.

IINet 1000 hour Day Expedition

Kristen and I recently had the privilege of being asked by iinet to shoot a short promotional video for the iinet “1000 Hour Day Expedition” website. This to promote the educational resources available to schools on the site.

Whats the expedition all about? In 2005 young Australian adventures Chris Bray and Clark Carter took on the challenge to travel unsupported across Victoria Island, the world's ninth largest and largely unexplored island. After 58 days of hauling, paddling and dragging 250kgs of gear behind them in their home-made aluminium kayaks with fold-down wheels, they were only 1/3 the way across!

Experiencing an incredible adventure including wolves, polar bears, artefact's, blizzards and unseen landscapes - they vowed to return to complete their journey. After two years of planning and the backing of iinet as a major sponsor, the “iiNet 1000 Hour Day Expedition” is shaping up for May 2008.

It was great to meet the guys and capture some of their story on video,

For all the photographers stopping by, Chris is also a talented wilderness and wildlife photographer and for the expedition Canon have agreed to sponsor him with $15,000 worth of equipment. Arriving in the mail for him the other day included a Canon EOS-1D Mark III and a hole bunch of accessories to match. Lucky bugger.

Its great to see iinet behind the expedition and the 1000 Hour Day website looks great. You can also keep track of Chris and Clark's position when they set off through the site as they will be carrying a Personal Location Device which will beam back their position to the site here via satellite every few hours.

Chris and Clark, We wish you all the best with the Expedition and hope to work with you again soon. We will be eagerly tuning in to the site. Good Luck!

Trent and Tanya Trailer

We videoed Trent and Tanya's wedding back on the 1st of March this year and they had recently contacted us about producing a wedding trailer for them. For those who are new to the concept it is basically a preview clip which the couple receive shortly after their wedding day, prior to receiving their full DVD edit. For any of our current clients, if you are interested in purchasing the wedding trailer for your own wedding, please contact us before your wedding date.

Collie Auto Test

With a few hours sleep under my belt after returning from Lidia and Gregs wedding, I sprung out of bed ...(well not quite) at 4:30am to pack the car with spare tyres engine oil and other vital fluids a 33 year old car needs, to head off the the Collie Auto Test held by the The Triumph Sports Owners Association of WA.

Our “In Shot” Galant which is usually used for chasing limos around the Perth wedding scene while on couples photo sessions, certainly had the cob webs blown out of it on Sunday.

This was my first auto event in the Galant and my first event in years since doing some basic formula ford driver training.

The 1975 Chrysler Galant sliding about

Caution, Petrol Head Talk ahead;

I ran standard street tyres on the the back of the car for half the day in a bid to save rubber. However this combined with un-modified rear suspension on a car that was build before computers even existed. It was like driving a trampoline and slid sideways almost every corner. However once I put my mags back on you couldn't keep the smile off my face. It was considerably faster than earlier in the day. which I hope the time results released in a few weeks will also indicate.

The Galant with a race prepared Datsun 240z hot on my tail

I definitely learnt a lot about the Galant. The open diff is terrible for corner exit speed in trying to get the power to the ground. Street tyres are scary and slow, but oh so fun in the corners and a whole bunch of other stuff I won't go into.

Although my car was quite the underdog compared to the scope of vehicles there, I had a great time. It was a well organised event by the club and venue. I hope to return soon.

Wedding Workshop March 08

Craig and I attended this years Wedding Workshop as suppliers giving advice on choosing wedding videographers. The workshop was held at Tompkins Park on the 26th March 2008.

Guests were treated with a complimentary glass of champagne on arrival, a free copy of Your Bride's Guide, free hot nibblies and a chance to win ten door prizes! Not to mention all of the invaluable advice given by industry professionals on what to look for when booking all different aspects of your wedding. These gorgeous photos are courtesy of the beautiful photographer Natasja from NK Photography who also spoke on the night.

Thank you Cathrin from CD Weddings for putting on such a fantastic night.

Greg and Lidia - 29th March 2008

Lidia and Greg's wedding was held at St Jeromes Church in Munster and the beautiful reception was held at the Esplanade Hotel in Fremantle.

The photo session took place at the Round House and outside the Maritime Museum in Fremantle. The Round House was lots of fun with the bridal party posing in the cells. Little Christopher was such a trooper and kept smiling all day.

The Esplanade is always such a beautiful location and serves excellent food. Craig and I had to roll ourselves home after that feast! We are really looking forward to editing your dancing footage as Lidia's sisters are some movers and shakers! Congratulations to you both on a beautiful day.

James and Lisa - 15th March 2008

James and Lisa's wedding ceremony was held at the Cottesloe Civic Centre on the main lawn and what a gorgeous day it was. The photographer Des Birt was fantastic and took some great shots at the Civic Centre, the beach, Fremantle and the reception venue, the South of Perth Yacht Club in Applecross.

The day was filled with laughter as Lisa and James had such a fun bridal party which included Shelley Fox which we videoed her wedding back in 2004.

The gorgeous reception venue over looked the Swan River and the city lights, what a perfect location for a wedding. Congratulations to you both on an amazing day and we look forward to editing your wedding.

Ryan and Sian 8th March 2008

Ryan and Sian's ceremony and reception were both held at the Parmelia Hilton, which is such a fantastic idea for guests. They are able to watch the ceremony then relax in their hotel room until the reception starts.

The beautiful photographers Alana and Jodie from Alana Matsen Photography were so much fun to work with. I'm scared of how many photos they took with Ryan's tongue sticking out!

It was such a fun photo session with taking a trip to Gloucester Park which was a meaningful location for both Ryan and Sian. Next we headed to East Perth for some more formal photographs. With the beautiful canals and greenery it has become a very popular location for wedding photographs.

Ryan and Sian's reception went off without a hitch, they performed a beautiful bridal waltz and the DJ, Gavin from Da Doo Ron Ron kept everyone on the floor all night. Actually I'm pretty sure I saw him on the floor dancing a couple of times!

The love story that we made of Sian and Ryan was played during their reception and went down better than expected. It gave the guests insight into Ryan and Sian's relationship and it made guests roar with laughter.

Sian and Ryan it has been lovely getting to know you over these last few months and it was a pleasure to see you on your wedding day. Have a great honeymoon and we'll speak when you get back. All the best.

Trent and Tanya 1st March 2008

Tanya and her bridesmaids got ready at the gorgeous Rendezvous Observation City Hotel. It was one of the best views I have ever seen, very relaxing to gaze at on the morning of your wedding. Tanya's beautiful make up was done by Kristy Ellis and Tanya looked absolutely amazing.

The ceremony was held at the ever popular Harold Boas Gardens in West Perth and the reception was held at Rendezvous.

The amazing car from Central Limousines attracted much attention from onlookers and the fantastic driver Mal had to be one of the nicest people I have ever met!

The talented photographer Rachael from Viva Photography kept the vibe energetic and fun and took the bridal party to King Street then Scarborough Beach.

Trent and Tanya performed the best bridal waltz I have ever seen, it was amazing. They had lifts, dips, twirls, the whole lot! They stunned the crowd with their amazing moves, just unbelievable. The band Darren Reid and the Soul City Groove kept everyone dancing all night and kept a high energy vibe for everyone to enjoy.

What a fantastic wedding you had Trent and Tanya, congratulations on such a fun-filled occasion.
